Aileron is always developing a pipeline of senior-level Facilitators to join our team of contributors who build meaningful, lasting relationships with our clients.

Who You Are

An Aileron facilitator isn’t someone who talks at a crowd. This role is designed for someone who can deliver content interactively, ask empowering questions, and facilitate conversation that compels all participants to share their experiences and insights. Here are some additional qualities of a great candidate.

  • You’re situational; you meet people where they are, can easily act on your feet, and have a natural ability to read a room and react accordingly to adjust the energy level.
  • You’re confident and comfortable with vulnerability, and express that value as you share personal stories about your own life to relate to your audience and make connections between course content and real-world context.
  • You’re a storyteller, and believe people learn better through shared experiences.
  • You’re good at navigating many behavior types in a single room, and can gracefully adjust to ensure all participants have a rewarding experience.
  • You’re driven by helping others be their best selves; nurturing relationships comes naturally to you, and you’re quick to foster connections, practice empathy, and collaborate.
  • You want to contribute to a “we” organization that values organizational systems over individual standards, and you value community, inclusion, and teamwork.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  1. Deliver course content: You’ll become a master at sharing content as you become intimately acquainted with your workshop and use your personal and professional experience to bring it to life. You’ll use visual aids as just that – aids. You won’t rely on course material to guide your process or tell the entire story.
  2. Grow and develop as a facilitator: You’ll continue to evolve your style as you gain experience and learn from your peers and client feedback. As your interests and Aileron’s needs evolve, you may also expand into other disciplines, programs, and services.
  3. Keep energy high and people engaged: You’ll be an energy barometer, keeping tabs on the room and moving around, sharing stories, and interacting with participants to keep the session lively and dynamic.
  4. Weave coaching into your process: You’ll let the workshop content serve as a guide, but you won’t be rigidly held to it. Quite the opposite, you’ll flow back-and-forth between course materials and story sharing to create connections, build context, and take advantage of opportunities for on-the-spot coaching.
  5. Contribute to the Aileron team: You’ll work closely with the Aileron team to share information, insights, and ideas to help the entire organization grow.

Your Team

  • Your team lead: Chuck Huggins is Aileron’s Chief Operating Officer. He leads the Facilitators, nurturing a collaborative and open team environment.
  • Your team: Aileron is in growth mode. You’ll join a team of Business Advisors, Leadership Coaches, and Facilitators, along with a larger community of part-time contributors.

Facilitator Qualifications

Qualifications vary based on each individual Facilitator and opportunity, but may include:

  • Experience facilitating and coaching

Note: Facilitator is a contract role and is not eligible for 401(k) or health benefits.
